IHSA 2021 COVID Rules - Football

COVID rules according to Sam Knox:

1. All officials are REQUIRED to wear a mask while inside school facilities (locker rooms, hallways, etc.).

2. At this time there is no mandate for anyone (officials, coaches, or players) to wear masks outside.

3. The team boxes will revert to rules prior to last season - the box is bounded by the 25 yd lines, not the 10 yd lines.

4. For the coin toss one coach and up to four players may be represented (per normal rules - 2019 and prior).

5. Procedures for time outs will be administered per normal rules (2019 and prior).
